Ergo Proxy, the next big anime series?

One of the highly anticipated new anime series at Anime Expo was Geneon Entertainment’s latest psychological thriller, “Ergo Proxy”. This series is set in a utopian society of Romdo where humans and androids, known as autoreivs, live in peace. Harmony is disrupted when a government secret experiment on a humanoid lifeform called Proxy escapes. Female inspector Re-L Mayar and her autoreiv partner Iggy encounter Proxy while investigating a string of murders caused by Cogito Virus infected autoreivs. The murder cases become more complicated when Re-L learns about the phenomena called "Awakening", an event where autoreivs become aware of their own existence. The 23 episode series will be out in North America sometime this November.
