Looking back at Nick Arcade

Overtime Comedy found this video of Nickelodeon’s nineties video game show, Nick Arcade. Players were split into two teams where they moved Mikey around a game board. If they landed on a “video challenge” square one of the team members would play a game and the other would bet points if they beat the challenge or not. Nick Arcade featured games like ActRaiser, Kabuki Quantum Fighter and a bunch of SNK Neo Geo titles. At the end of the show the winning team would enter into the video game world and run around on a green screen. Interesting trivia fact: Psygnosis, the brains behind the Lemmings series and Wipeout, made the crappy two player pong clones and racing games used at the beginning of the game.
