Final Fantasy VI Advance screenshots

Now that Final Fantasy V is out in the wild, Square-Enix is getting ready to release Final Fantasy VI next month. These new screenshots show off character portraits and the combat with Espers, but none of the new features. Final Fantasy IV Advance added in a new dungeon and the ability to switch characters at the end of the game. FFV Advance has new jobs, just what is Final Fantasy VI Advance going to add? My guess is new Espers, but most fans probably want a side quest involving General Leo

I wonder how they’ll handle the translation once they work on localizing the game? Will they recycle Woolsey’s translation, make a new translation based on his, or do an entirely new one?

My guess is they’ll use the same one they’ve always used, with a few minor typographical fixes. Because some people would argue that FF6 would not be anywhere close to FF6 without lines like “Don’t tease the octopus, kids!!”

Well…it IS confirmed that there will be at least two new espers…Gilgamesh and Leviathan

gargamesh Says:

Go Ted Woolsey. If it weren’t for that guy we’d be calling moogles mogris.
