R.O.D. Read or Dream, Vol. 1
Story by Hideyuki Kurata

Known as the Paper Sisters, Michelle, Maggie, and Anita have the ability to control paper. The sisters serve a variety of book-loving clients from their Hong Kong Paper Sister Detective Company. While some consider “Read or Dream” to be the sequel to the “Read or Die” series, both mangas do not feature the same characters nor setting. Unlike the original series, “Read or Dream” is more heart-warming and focuses on the fantasy aspect rather then action. Each storyline is broken into chapters in order to give the piece a comedic touch. In this first volume, the readers get a taste of the Paper Sister’s domestic life and their share of out of the ordinary investigations ranging from retrieving a stolen precious book to using the power of literature to save humanity from an alien attack.
