DS Lite coming to Korea in January

By Spencer . December 27, 2006 . 6:28am

Shortly after Nintendo announced their partnership with Nexon they brought up a site for DS Lite launch in Korea. The system comes out on January 18, 2007 priced at 150,000 won ($161) with four colors to choose from: Crystal White, Ice Blue, Noble Pink and Jet Black. Only two games are on the site as launch titles Brain Age ($30) and English Training DS ($35). If that is all Nintendo is bringing to the table the DS launch in Korea looks pretty weak. Good thing there is always importing. Later in 2007 Nintendo will be releasing the Wii, hopefully with more than two launch games.

Nice to see text heavy games in Korean, but what’s the big deal? You can buy DS Lites anywhere and they’re region free.
