Whoever said a Mega man movie would be terrible is either off his rocker or has never played the Megaman X series. There's an awesome story behind the Megaman X games, at least there is up until the end of Megaman X4. Topics like worldwide warfare, whether or not peace can truly be gained from fighting a war, the distinction between good and evil - All of these are present in Megaman X and more - not to mention that we all would love nothing more than to see badass fight scene after badass fight scene, with Zero slashing Mechaniloids to ribbons, and X blasting the arms off of Mavericks, and the final battle with Sigma at the end. I agree, though, Megaman X would be horrible live-action. It would require a director to take the anime, or even Advent Children-esque CGI route to be good.

I would really like to see Xenosaga be made into a movie, usually Hollywood is pretty good w/ sci-fi flicks, not sure if the religious stuff works, but the sci-fi/alien feel in Ep1 definitely fits the bill.

Zelda can be a great movie, especially in a CG style similar to Final Fantasy: Advent Children. It can be an original story line with Link actually grown up with those 7 years in the Ocarina time line taking place in a neighboring city to Hyrule with an arch villain that makes Ganon look weak. Including this can be new races related to known ones and also maybe a cool now helper than can actually fight along with Link that the fanbase can like instead of the usual small helper or fairy.

I'd love to see Final Fantasy Tactics turned into a movie, personally. I just loved the story so much.

Otherwise, Onimusha is going to be a pretty bad movie from my guess, and Devil May Cry is going to turn into something really corporate, and it'll feature really generic MTV punk and metal, so it'll make all gamers want to claw their eyes out.

A slick, rotoscoped version of Suda51's Killer7 would be amazing.

Just think about it: blood, guns, art, political conflict, and multiple personality disorder?

Oh hell yes.

When converting any media into a movie, you need a good, short storyline that's entertaining. I think most game storylines aren't destined for movies -- almost every game is too long to fit everything in, so you have to cut-out things, which often alienates the core fans. That said, it seems best to find an IP that originates in gaming and then create a new adventure in that world.

I think an Elder Scrolls movie could do well -- it has such a huge amount of background information that it wouldn't be difficult to create a new story in the world that sticks to canon. Add onto that the fact that the games lend themselves to such open-ended exploring, a more "directed" movie approach could be a refreshing exposure to the world. The downside is that the story arcs are usually so epic that it could be too large for a single movie -- but, hey, every movie company I know loves to squeeze franchises dry, so I'm sure they'd have no problem making multiples if they were successful.

Someone else mentioned Dead Rising -- that seems like another that could be a big cult hit, and probably the one I'd like to see the most, if for no other reason that movies with zombie killing are just fun.

I'd like to see the Prince of Persia made into a movie trilogy. The fight scenes & special fx are almost guaranteed to be incredible. As for the story, as long as it sticks w/the games' script w/a few addition, and a few decent actors, I'd be a happy fan....

CGI Conker's Bad Fur Day as Runner-Up

I'd personally enjoy seeing a Command & Conquer movie. I've always wanted to see one especially given their live-action movies they had for their cut-scenes. It seemed very fitting to have it all culminate into an actual movie one day. Just imagine a traditional Hollywood war flick, except based around Command & Conquer. It'd probably bomb at the box office but I know that I'd definitely go and see it.

One game that I think would do well being made into a movie might be Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. It probably couldn't be an exact adaption from the game, but I could see this being pulled off well nonetheless. Not that I'm a fan of fangoria, but I thought Underworld, Blade, Spawn (I could name more) were really good movies, for the theme anyways.

And besides, who doesn't like a nice revenge flick?
