Riviera PSP remake coming the USA?

All of the Atlus news has been focused on either Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja of Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner. Both games come out this month and maybe Atlus has been too busy to announce they picked up Riviera: Yakusoku no Chi for a North American release. Gamestop / EB Games has a page up for it with an April 9, 2007 release date. The PSP remake has improved graphics and is fully voiced compared to the GBA release which had sound clips. It’s entirely possible that Atlus picked this up since they worked with Sting to bring the GBA game over. Or maybe Gamestop is over zealously trying to entice RPG fans to buy PSP games, just yesterday Gamestop set up pre-order pages for Final Fantasy I and II.

So wait, they won’t localize Devil Summoner for the PSP, but they’ll localize a game we’ve already played once before? A game that, honestly, wasn’t even all that good?

That’s real great.

To be honest, Devil Summoner isn’t all that great either. I’m not surprised Atlus passed on it.

It’s no surprise the PSP Devil Summoner never made it here in the first place.
