In March Electronic Arts is releasing Godfather: Blackhand Edition for the Wii. It’s the same story seen in the previous Godfather games, but the Wii release adds in some innovative control. You remote can be used to aim your gun while you move around with the nunchuck. When you need to “persuade” a person to do business you can punch with the nunchuck and the remote sort of like Wii boxing. A similar control set up is used to throw people against walls and do combos. I like the idea of punching during an action game and if the controls are responsive the Godfather might be worth a second purchase. Past the jump there are 37 pictures from the Wii release. What do you think of the graphics compared to the PS2 version or the Xbox 360 release?

I’ll probably end up renting Godfather: Blackhand Edition, not only to see how well it controls using the Wiimote compared to a traditional controller but also because I refuse to purchase last-gen to Wii ports. I want to see more original content like Dewy’s Adventure pop up, not only from Konami (and Nintendo, naturally), but from other third party developers as well.
