Disney Interactive is remaking another game from Q Entertainment, the DS puzzler Meteos and they are giving it the Disney Touch. It’s a mash up between the quirky alien puzzle game and Disney characters where you help Jiminy Cricket and Tinker Bell re-organize the Disney storybook. Players will get to visit nine different Disney worlds. The screenshots show: The Lion King, Winnie the Pooh, Toy Story, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Lilo & Stitch, The Little Mermaid and Pirates of the Caribbean. While the theme Is different Meteos: Disney Magic, is at the core Meteos. You match pieces, make rockets and remove blocks from the screen. The most noticeable change is the interface, you hold the DS like a book and there is a mystery meter all the way on the left hand side of the screen.

As A Disney Kind Of Person, I’m Liking It..
Plus I Like The Little Twists, Like The Book-Style Layout..
hmm, Makes You Think If Disney Interactive Will Have Q Put More Of Their Characters In Other Games.. Disney Magic Lumines/Gunpey/Every Extend Extra, Anyone?
I don’t know however, the whole make-rockets mechanic made sense with the original game’s comic theme. It doesn’t seem like it’d be the same without cool planets and little minimalist guys to save.

I like Little Mermaid and a few Disney movies, but the this game just doesn’t seem like it would be very fun to play. The blocks are SO distracting because of all the comlicated pictures they have on them. Simple solid blocks are where it’s at.
