I made this mistake once before, when I went ahead and bought The Legend of Zelda cartoon series on DVD. Against my better judgement and I really should’ve listened when my gut said "You know it’s not gonna be any good." Man o man was my gut right.
So now here I sit, credit card in hand. Convincing myself that Captain N: The Game Master is different. That it’s good. I block out the images of Simon Belmont, the sound of Mother Brain’s voice. The NES pad belt buckle that gave him super abilities… ahh the hell with it. I’m buying it. I just can’t help myself.
Want to join in my pain? Amazon is selling it for 24 bucks. If you need a little help remembering what the cartoon was all about, here’s a look back at the series.
