EA’s Wii music game: Boogie

Electronic Arts lifted the veil off their music / party game for the Wii, Boogie. Boogie is one part Samba de Amigo and one part Singstar mashed together with aliens. Players sing with the microphone and dance with the nunchuck combination by shaking it to commands. Besides the pink alien in the screenshots there are other unannounced characters to choose from. With Boom Boom Rocket and Boogie EA is taking a dip into the music/rhythm genre.

Could somebody explain the “Players sing with the microphone” part? What microphone, is it some included peripheral that you hook into your nunchuk or what?

  • I’m not sure where it plugs in, it could be the same microphone that High School Musical used or it could be something entirely new. Instead of looking at the mic, I was watching the footage when EA showed Boogie off (without naming it) at GDC.
