Monster Hunter gets a trading card game

Capcom has a trading card game that is based on the popular PS2 and even more popular PSP Monster Hunter games. There are four kinds of starter decks that retail for 1890 yen ($16) and eight card booster packs cost 252 yen ($2). There are a total of 171 cards to collect in the first edition of the game. Given the popularity of Monster Hunter in Japan more than a few fans are going to jump on this. While Monster Hunter hasn’t blown up in North America it’s such a large cash cow in Japan that almost makes Monster Hunter worth way more than Captain Commando, maybe as much as their blockbuster franchises like Devil May Cry.

Is it somewhere in the bible, constitution, koran, or other religious text that every series involving obtaining “monsters” must have a trading card game?

Spencer Says:

Simon Play-Asia may carry the cards, but let me poke around and see what I can find.
