Shadowrun retrospective

Way before FASA Studios decided Shadowrun should be a Counterstrike-like FPS three other Shadowrun games were released for consoles in the 90s. Hardcore Gaming 101 has a detailed look back at the history of Shadowrun games starting with the SNES game where the main character has no memory and the darker Genesis RPG. The Genesis game never reached Japan due to coding issues. Instead Japan got their own Shadowrun game, developed by Complie  who is known for the Puyo Puyo series. One of the most interesting parts in the article is before the Xbox 360 game was announced FASA Studios was working on a series of Shadowrun games. One of them starred a female assassin and it was supposed to be a stealth action game.
