Nintendo giving Picross a second chance in the US

If you never heard of Picross before, it’s sort of like minesweeper where players uncover hidden spots to draw a picture. Nintendo gave the Picross series a chance when they released Mario’s Picross for the Game Boy, but after it no other PIcross titles came to North America. Earlier this year Nintendo released Picross DS in Japan and the title was quickly confirmed for a European release. While Nintendo has not confirmed Picross DS for a US release, it looks like they may be bringing Picross DS to North America too thanks to an ESRB listing. Picross DS has a number of improvements over the original game like online play and touch screen control. Since the DS has a non-traditional game audience it’s possible that Picross DS may find an audience outside of Japan.
