Gamestop is having a decent sale this week with a collection of $10 games. There aren’t too many gems on the list and some of the titles are extremely archaic. Why buy SSX Tricky for $10 when you get SSX 3 for just a little more? Their $15 game selection is slightly better where you can pick up Dragon Quest VIII and King of Fighters 2006 for a reasonable price. The best video game deal is probably the Final Fantasy XII “Collector’s Edition”, which now retails for $30, $20 cheaper than buying a “regular” copy anywhere else.
Also Gamestop is clearing out their entire UMD movie inventory. Nearly every movie is a mere $5, which almost tempts me to get UMDs of Kung Fu Hustle, Crash and Metropolis even though I already have them on DVD. I suspect you might have better luck completing your UMD collection in stores, who knows maybe in the future these will be rare or something.

I went there first thing this past Sat. and picked up a couple of good deals, a 2Gb Wii SD card for $20, Rumble Roses for $4.99 and Castlevania Curse of Darkness for $9.99, so it wasn’t all that bad. I would pass on the UMD movies no matter how cheap they are, just a waste of PSP battery.

I went there today, and the sale is pretty lame. They didn’t have any UMDs at all, except for the used ones, which were still full price.
