Ubisoft took a gamble and brought G-rev’s Senko no Ronde outside of Japan with the awkward WarTech heading. It was announced at the last minute and so far the game has received little attention. Senko no Ronde stands out because of its unique premise, it blends bullet hell shooters and fighting games. The problem with the US release is the price, $60 at stores and $50 at Play-Asia. Sure it’s priced around the same point as the Japanese release, but Ubisoft might have captured more gamers by selling it at $40 like D3 Publisher did with Earth Defense Force. It’s worth a rental if you are a shmup fan and a game to look out for when it inevitably falls into the bargain bin.
I heard about this game this morning from gamesetwatch. I want it…when it is cheaper.

It’s worth a purchase, I’d say since I was ready to pay $60 just to import a possible Dreamcast version. Also, the game is most likely sold out at most places by now..
