In a few weeks here comes Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Tecmo has Ninja Gaiden Sigma scheduled to come out in North America and Japan later this month. It’s a remake of Ninja Gaiden Black for the Xbox, which was a remake of Ninja Gaiden (so… it’s a remake of a remake?) with the Hurricane Packs distributed via Xbox Live. There are some new features to Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ryu has can wield two Katanas and Rachel is a playable character. The biggest change is really how crisp Ninja Gaiden Sigma looks, but I’m not sure that’s enough to get anyone to buy a game a third time. If you’re curious see this video and share what you think.

Since Ninja Gaiden Sigma is coming out real soon there is this TV ad running in Japan with Leah Dizon playing the game and her single “Could you be that one?” as the background music. Perhaps the message is if it’s good enough for a model/singer to play it’s good enough for the general gaming public?

If I could afford it (and my fiance wouldn’t yell at me) I’d buy a PS3 just for Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Yeah, I love Ninja Gaiden that much.

Even though I lack a PS3 at this moment in time, Ninja Gaiden Sigma has really been a game I’ve been following up on the console. For a remake, Tecmo have certainly put a lot of time and energy into converting it to the PS3. There really isn’t much quality exclusives out there on the shelves for early adopters of the system, so this is definitely something worth investing some cash into.
