I’ve only VERY recently gotten into the MMO world, since I knew deep down I’d get sucked in and spend way to much time playing. That and the montly fees, which is what made Guild Wars stick out in the seemingly crowded MMO market. A lot of us gamers out here have a real problem with paying for a game over and over month by month, which is why it’s so refreshing to see a company do away with the subscription model. Releasing expansion and add-on pack that are optional seems a much better way to do it. Gamers get access to new content, and no one feels like they’re getting ripped off.
The final chapter in Guild Wars, called Eye of the North, is set to hit this fall and it’ll guide the storyline right into Guild Wars 2. And although we may have to wait until Q4 to play Eye of the North, we can enjoy some location concept art now. For now it’s just a little something to wet the appetite. Next we’ll take a look at some of the dungeons.

I’m really looking forward to this and GW2 when it comes out next year.
