More robotic combat, thanks to Namco Bandai

votoms.jpgThis isn’t the first game based on Armored Trooper Votoms to come out, but it is the only game on a “current-gen” system based on the 1980s anime. Namco Bandai who specializes in making robot fighting games like the Gundam series picked up the license to Armored Trooper Votoms. Their upcoming Playstation 2 game looks sort of like Virtual On in screenshots, which is enough to get my attention. Probably more interesting is that Namco Bandai is developing Armored Trooper Votoms for the Playstation 2, instead of switching to the “next generation.” Thanks to the PS2’s large install base we are going to continue to see new PS2 games trickle in throughout 2007 and 2008.
