We mentioned Bass Fishing Wii: Rokumaru Densetsu before when Arc System Works (the same company that created Guilty Gear) posted up a splash page and there is something slightly interesting about it, online play. Through Nintendo WiFi players can out fish each other, but Arc System Works has not been clear they are going to work this in. They are one of the few third party companies to take advantage of Nintendo WiFi, but they seem much more interested in showing off Chisato Morishita, a former “race queen” model. What is more likely to make Bass Fishing Wii to sell?

Huzzah on the online part, but it’s gonna take more than a sweaty hot Asian babe to make me buy a fishing game, even if she does have a nice rack.

The name of the game is escaping me at the moment but there was an American fishing game that came out a few years back that used some model on it’s cover and not much else.

Remote + mic add on + online play + your buddies + a fridge of beers + not having to wake up at 4am in the morning and having to get all your gear ready = virtual fishing trip heaven.

Wishful thinking, but we can always dream…

Mommy? Why do I have the sudden urge to go fishing?
