A few months ago Nintendo announced the first Nintendo Short Cuts Showcase where they sent out a call for filmmakers to make a three to five minute video about Nintendo. Jack Paccione Jr. from Staten Island, NY won the grand prize with his film about a good Wii user fighting off a “Wiivil” Wii user. For netting first place he wins $10,000, a Wii, a Nintendo DS Lite, some games, a lunch with the Tribeca Film Festival co-founder Craig Hatkoff and his video will be screened during the film festival. Congrats!

My favorite clip, “Koopa Force”, got second place and if you like CG animation it is a must see.
