Motion controlled gaming comes to cell phones

3dlawndarts.jpgConcrete Software has an innovative product on the market, a motion controlled cell phone version of lawn darts. 3D Lawn Darts takes advantage of the cell phone’s camera to register the throwing motion. To increase the accuracy Concrete Software has a long list of specifications players need to be aware of like making sure you’re playing the game where it isn’t too dark or too bright (no outside play?) and you need to make a long, slow throwing motion. It might not be the perfect game to play while sitting in the middle of a lecture hall, but 3D Lawn Darts uses existing technology already built into most modern cell phones in a neato way. The game also supports Bluetooth wireless play and has an option to axe the motion control if you’re afraid of throwing your phone across the room.
