Sony announced they have a new Playstation 3 bundle scheduled to come out in Japan on July 26. The premium 60GB package comes with a console, necessary wires and Minna no Golf 5 (Hot Shots Golf 5) for 61,980 yen ($502). The 20GB bundle is slightly cheaper. It rings up at 51,980 ($421), which is a steal considering Amazon Japan is selling a regular 60GB Playstation 3 without a game for 67,780 ($550). Maybe this Sony’s way of giving Japan a price cut.

Why do I feel like we’re gonna see a PS3 price drop in the states before we see a game worth buying? I bought the PS3 the day it launched and I still don’t feel lile I needed to….. ugh

I hear ya.. I got mine last Dec and thought Lair was to come out in January, now at least we have FolksSoul this month which I’m importing. This bundle sounds great just like Wii sports. In Jpn, despite Wii sports not being free, it’s still a best seller weeks after weeks.

Best Buy is having some HD TV + PS3 deal now and the PS3 ends up costing like $400, if you’re looking to get a high-end Sony 40″ LCD that is.
