Watch: Project Sylpheed Trailer

Most of the footage of Project Sylpheed floating around shows ships in outer space firing lasers, but this is a dramatic shmup. The official trailer gives you an idea of what to expect from the story when it comes out on July 10.

 

 

 

Humans are the cause war and violence in deep space? I haven’t heard anything like that before! The trailer makes the story sound cliché, but Project Sylpheed attempts to pepper “shoot the core” with CG cutscenes. The concept reminds me of Wing Commander, if it had an anime art style and complex controls.
