A snapshot of cosplay at Anime Expo ‘07

By Spencer . July 4, 2007 . 12:52pm

This year at Anime Expo there were some neato costumes related to video games like this cultural clash of the Elite Beat Agents, Ouendan and the Cheer Squad.

This costume of Vincent Valentine was probably the best Final Fantasy related costume at the show. A lot of detail was put into it like the wings, metal glove and shoes from Vincent’s Dirge of Cerberus threads.

Lots of Phoenix Wright fans dressed up this year.

The real Solid Snake is hiding in the box on the right.

Classic Final Fantasy represented with Kefka and Terra.

Mario meets Flavor Flav.

The walking Wii remote costume gets points for clever design. The D-pad is removable so the person inside can stick out their face and see where they are walking.

Penelo playing Para Para Paradise. Go alliteration!

    That’s some good costumes there, especially the Ouendan and MGS ones. The Phoenix one looks funny too, got to give it to them.

  • Pichi

    Good cosplays, I really liked the wigs of the agents and the pink haired cheergal.

    Cool! Feel free to post the not-so-good ones as well, always good for a laugh!

    Where are the Divas?!
    The Phoenix Wright at the far left was very cool, too.
    There weren’t as many cosplayers this year (as far as I noticed), but there were very creative ones.

    What did Spencer go as? Link?

  • @jeffx – I didn’t see anything awful enough to snap pictures of this year, but there was one impressive Fran cosplayer that walked right by me on the show floor.

    @matty – Myself :)
