Actually, the rocking and rolling is more up to you but if Nyko has it's way it looks like they'd love to cover the party angle. With their new Nyko Party Station for the Nintendo Wii.
So let's get this out of the way first, this thing is ridiculous. Yet, somehow I can't hate it. I actually think it's pretty cool. It really comes down to the bowling alley style fan that have on the front of the thing, to keep those marathon sessions of Wii Sports from becoming TV destroying when the Wii-mote flies out of your hands.
There's spaces on the sides to hold 4 Wii-motes and a drawer that'll hold a few nunchucks. The beverage holders on the corners are freezable to keep your soda/beer cold and there's a light up chip/dip tray in the middle. Throw in a few scoreboards to track night-long competitions across multiple games and there ya go. It's totally useless but at $24.99 is something you can pick up on a whim and not feel bad about it later.
Besides, if using the fan saves you from destroying your TV, isn't it worth it?
They're considering a premium version that would plug-in and offer both recharging capability and refrigeration, but no word on that yet.
i still haven’t gotten over the fact that PCs are mainstream enough that you actually see some people eating or drinking while using them. now they want me to accept that people will store their controllers in the same place as their chips and soda. that is filthy and disgusting. if this is what bringing gaming to the masses means, i’m out.

That piece of hunk is, I have to admit, pretty cool in terms of adhering to the rules of “things that remind you of a classic bowling alley”. Personally, though, I don’t want anyone’s grubby and greasy chip hands touching my Wii Remotes.
I just need to get a pair of Wii Clown Shoes (aka Bowling Shoes) and we’ll be good to go.
