ahh apparently in the end, another graphics whore....it doesn't matter, your opinion is noted, but is in direct contradiction to what many other (and more esteemed) writers feel

JeremyR:

I've played enough PSP games, from near-launch titles to present, to safely say that the discrepancy in visuals is not purely the product of a sharper screen. The fact is, microscopic or squashed sprites are going to be more pixelated, and that's the way they present Brave Story. Innocent Life: Harvest Moon had flaws, but its biggest success may be the graphics, and Wipeout looks very nice for an early game.

And have you ever heard of game changes being made in localization? Concerned companies do do that, even for portable titles. Text issues have bothered players of games such as Paper Mario for a long time now; sometimes there just shouldn't be so much. Better organized menus also help people who might not be as familiar with RPGs as you or I.

I think you are reviewing this like a PS2 game (with regards to presentation and graphics), not a PSP game (which tend to be lower budget and the jaggies can't be helped, due to the screen - PS2 games basically get free AA thanks to being on blurry TVs). I would also point out, how can the presentation really be rushed, when that was all done in Japan a year ago? Xseed actually added voice to some parts of the game where there was none in the original.
