Lair delayed until September

lair.jpgAmidst over rumors about a delay, Sony made an official announcement that Lair will not be in stores on August 14. The new release date for Lair is September 4 and Sony plans to spend the extra time tweaking the online component of Lair.

Natural challenges that arose while finalizing the offline game to include key online features - such as leaderboards and medal systems - have led to the difficult choice of pushing back the release date.

The wait three week wait isn’t too long and it is a small price o pay for a better final product.

You know, in some ways I find this tiresome. They get iffy reviews on a game, then they take it back and fix a few points and then expect it to be reviewed again. They pulled this with Calling All Cars too.

I mean, it’s good for the consumer in the end, but it makes things somewhat confusing and you’re left wondering what reviews to believe, what reviews are based on old information, etc.

Exactly, wonder how much the EGM reviews played a part in Sony’s delaying of their game.

Honestly, wonder if BioShock’s upcoming release had anything to do with it as well… and delaying until September will put it against Halo 3.
