Recently, a few of the guys from 1up did a phone interview with Masaya Matsuura for his new iPod music game Musika. Being that Matsuura-san is the creator of the Parappa series as well 1up gently broached the topic of a Parappa sequel. It would seem from this casual conversaion that not only is Matsuura-san interested in making the game, Sony would love to see it happen as well (no surprise there).
It doesn’t hurt that rhythm games are finally making some headway in the states, and the PSP port of the first game. Hopefully we’ll get some sort of confirmation one day. Until then I “just gotta believe!”
Now all I need is a copy of Vib Ribbon and I'll be all set!
I’ve got Vib Ribbon - it was a slight disappointment in my eyes =) Though the style is great and the character is likeable, it’s just not a rhythm game because the obstacles are not on the beat or anything, they appear pretty random - too random to call it a rhythm game anyway.

I hope Rodney Alan Greenblat is on board with this, too. His artwork is awesome.
