AtomHudson shows off Star Soldier R
As if the multitude of Star Soldier titles on the Virtual Console wasn't enough for all you Wii owners out there, here comes Hudson's latest entry into the Star Soldier series, Star Soldier R for the Wii. Very little is known about the game at this point, however a few details have emerged.
The game will feature no breaks between levels, and will support the Classic Controller as well as the Wii Remote. This is great news for shmup fans, as new games in the genre are fairly few and far between. No release date has been set for Star Soldier R as of yet.

I really enjoyed the Star Soldier remake on the Gamecube, so I’m highly looking forward to finally getting a new installment in this shmup series from Hudson. With any luck, Star Soldier R should find its way out of Japan and into retail stores in America if the Virtual Console releases of Super Star Soldier, Soldier Blade, Blazing Lazers and Star Soldier are any indication.
