Fresh from the island of Mallorca in Spain is a DS game where you draw runes with the touch to cast spells. However, this isn’t an RPG, Doodle Hex has more in common with competitive puzzle games like Puyo Puyo or Super Puzzle Fighter II. There are two hundred runes to collect and each represents a different spell including fireball blasts, a screen sized earthquake and turning the other player into a frog. Don’t like the runes you have? You can trade them via wi-fi.

Tragnarion Studios plans to release Doodle Hex in the first quarter of 2008, but they have not announced if anyone is going to assist them outside of Europe.
