New G.Rev shmup, meet Mamoru-kun

The official website for G.Rev's new shooter, entitled Mamoru-kun wa Norowarete Shimatta! (Mamoru-kun has been cursed!) is now live. What's really exciting about this new Naomi cart shmup is that it's being co-developed by a new company known as Gulti, which is comprised of former employees of Seibu Kaihatsu, developers of Raiden. Also, the game will reportedly use the same 80-degree image tilt used in Under Defeat, another Naomi shooter. The game's character design is being handled by Mizuki Takayama (of Senko no Ronde fame) and the music is being composed by a team of composers led by one of my favorite composers, Shinji Hosoe. It's a shame that Karous was the last Dreamcast game. I'd love to see this on the DC.

As much as I like Shinji Hosoe, I’d like to have Yasuhisa Watanabe’s music in another Grev game again.
