Small side note about Katamari history for Visionnerz:

Katamari was a cult hit out of the gate. It was released with great reviews and a cheap price. So the game quickly sold out it's small print run leaving many anxious gamers without a copy.

I'm very excited for this game to be re-released. I have it both for dreamcast (disc dosent work so well anymore) and PS2 (Not to proud of the way I acquired the PS2 copy, rented it from a blockbuster and "lost" it, paying the fee). I only hope that they give this game the royal treatment, as its one of the few titles I would pay extra money for to get additional content. Can you imagine being able to download more levels? XD

We actually got a copy of this game in used and in good condition at work last week. I've had it in our PS2 kiosk ever since, though I don't think many people actually step up to try it. Most that do seem a bit confused, too. But oh well, just trying to give people something different to try!

Bought this back in 2002 in a two for one from WHSmiths. (Bargain!) As brilliant a game now as it was 5 years ago. Since getting my PS3, it is the one regularly played game from my PS2 collection. Looks great in 1080p through the PS2, but can't wait to play this on 360 with proper HD visuals. Playing it again really is like putting on a classic album from your youth. Still the best game from Tetsuya Mizuguchi.

Most people didn't really care about Rez before and during its release. The people I know and others didn't "get" why I had picked up the game when it came out. Most people started taking notice when talk started about the game being "rare" then all of a sudden the interest grew. Sure, it was probably the marketing, but not really the number of copies sold. It's a similar case with Katamari Damacy. Nobody gave a damn at first, but then suddenly started to as it suddenly became the "cool" game to have.
