Watch – Trio of Naruto trailers

So… many… Naruto games are coming in North America and Japan. Instead of breaking these videos into separate posts and going into Naruto overload I’m lining up the trailers for Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution (Wii / USA), Naruto: Path of Ninja (DS /USA) and Naruto Shippuuden: Narultimate Accel 2 (PS2 / Japan) in this entry.

Let’s start with Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution. A few other characters are confirmed in this trailer like Tsunade, Orochimaru and Kisame. The video also has a player demonstrating the game’s motion controls, but in reality you don’t control the game like that at all. You could emulate uppercuts and kunai slashes, but shaking the remote has the same effect.

Time to move on to Naruto: Path of Ninja. This is a remix of the Game Boy Advance game so it uses sprite graphics, but the combat system has been switched around with some elements from the DS games. Path of Ninja starts from the beginning of the series and goes all the way up to the invasion of the sound ninja.

While most of the world is still working through the first arc, CyberConnect2 is getting Naruto Shippuuden: Narultimate Accel 2. Japan gets this on December 20th and at this point a US release seems extremely unlikely. It’s a shame too because the tweaks to the fighting system like permanent partner characters sound fantastic.

Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution is probably going to be another Bleach, a game where the Wiimote and Nunchuk are used endlessy to fight. Not that’s good, but that’s a little reptive. No 2-D fighters on the Wii have seemed to “nail it”. Let’s just hope that SSBB in 2008 does.

Naruto: Path of the Ninja looks like a good game for RPG gamers. Only promblem that is just a GBA game enhanced, so their’s no specialty to it. However, it does look like a break from the regular RPG mix, so I’ll give it a try.

Naruto: Narliumte Accel 2 looks like a neat game. Only promblem is that I don’t on a PS2, so I won’t now the game is like. However, if done right, Narlimute Accel 2 might be the king of all 2-D fighters on the PS2. Sadly, the PS2’s round is probably going to end in 2008, so I guess Accel 2 will not being coming to America soon….

  • If Narutimate Accel 1 is any indication, 2 is gonna be awesome. I already have my copy preordered from (modded ps2s are the way to go man, and it may even be worth buying an asian ps2 for, since they’re probably pretty cheap.)

The games look nice. Only I only have a Wii and DS, and I won’t be able to play the kick-butt Naruto: Narulimate Accel 2. Still, the Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution might spice up Wii fighting and Naruto: Path of the Ninja looks like a instretsing RPG choice.
