This goes out to those about to ROCK (and by this I mean some Free Stuff!)

Poor, poor Spencer. You have no idea what fun you're missing out on by looking past Rock Band. You may not dig the music included (I'm hit or miss on most of them myself), but the fun this puppy can dish out when mixed with friends and booze in unlimited. We had some friends over a few nights after it came out and didn't stop till the cops knocked on the door. After getting used to how it worked we all really started getting into it. At one point my girlfriend jumped off our couch like she was stage diving while she sung. Too much.

Let me put it this way, I loathe getting in front of people…. serious stage fright. I almost never sing (I had to force myself for the Karaoke Revolution review from way back) but after an hour of Rock Band friends had to kick me off the mic, I just couldn't get enough. Rock Band, breaking down crippling social awkwardness since 2007.

Actually, maybe you can give the game a chance by hitting one of the tour dates below. It's like a traveling sideshow of rockers and rock wanna-bees.

To celebrate, let's give away some Rock Band gear! I mean it's a staple of any rock concert… the extra merchandise. Except instead of overpriced I want to see them given away for free! Stickers and drumsticks too! We'll pick people at random that post a comment to the story, it'll be the virtual "putting up the lighter" move people pull out at concerts. Not quite as cliched' as screaming "Freebird!" but it's close.

Man, I sure do love me some Rock Band. I think it’s helping my pitch, too!

  • http://www.allrpg.com Aaron

Hey sweet, they’re coming to my school next week!

  • Visionnerz

    Bemani > Post-Frequency Harmonix.

  • SomeDude

I would be remiss if I didn’t point out that none of the locations under your heading of “West Coast” are actually, you know, ON THE WEST COAST.

The West Coast is limited to three states in the Union: California, Oregon, and Washington. All other states are excluded, because they don’t have a Western coastline.

  • Angelous

SomeDude is right. Texas and Arizona are not the West Coast. That tour needs to get out to Monterey, CA! Or… at least San Jose CA…

  • Durakone

Actually you should limit your west coast pickings to Washington* and California. NOTHING stops for Oregon, except carlos mencia… CARLOS MENCIA!!!!….. can you feel my pain? can you?

    *Seattle

    Visionnerz says:

Bemani = Jumped the Shark a Long Time Ago, Not to Mention Missed the Gravy Train Completely Because They Wouldn’t Release Their Games in the States and Are Now just QQing…

Just wanted to fix that for you.

  • Kotat

I work at a best buy in Oregon and we have a rock band display, it makes me want to shove the drumsticks into peoples eyes, can you imagine listening to incessant offbeat tapping 8 hours a day?

  • Visionnerz

BurntToast256, why limit specific country’s releases? I’m talking on the whole.
