MyStylist: the PSP fashion consultant

mystylist.jpgSony is trying to reach out to a new audience too, but they aren’t targeting senior citizens with MyStylist. The PSP application uses the camera to catalog clothes and photograph a wish list. Once all the data is stored, users can match shirts, skirts and accessories in search of the perfect outfit. But why do the work on your own? MyStylist can sort through your clothes and pick for you. I wonder how MyStylist sorts through the combinations. It can’t be completely random because that would result in fashion nightmares for anyone with a diverse wardrobe. Also how will MyStylist keep up with the latest trends? I suppose Sony could release downloadable updates to take care of this. Questions aside, MyStylist is certainly an interesting piece of software. And while I can’t imagine MyStylist being a hit in North America, there is a chance it can be a hit in fashion conscious Japan.
