Afro Samurai pops in the Spike TV’s Video Game Awards

Recommended Videos

In 2005 Namco Bandai was just Namco, Afro Samurai was just a manga and Namco picked up the rights to make a video game before Samuel Jackson committed to be the voice of the main character. A bold decision, that made an appropriate “premiere” last night at SpikeTV’s VGAs. I use the term premiere loosely since the clip SpikeTV aired was actually shown to editors this summer with a smidgen of gameplay footage. However, the teaser video only showed clips of Afro with the game’s “blood is beautiful” tagline. Afro’s blood soaked hands and a tagline, that’s it for now.
