@astrodan: How stupid, Pipeworks CAN'T give money to him.
@Celestian: Very true, I've found the game very enjoyable. I think this game is a bit (If not a lot,) underrated by major reviewers. Great graphics too. Just glitchy.

Also, on Kiryu's AZC, let go of the Z Button right before it releases to make it work perfectly. Remember that!! :)

Myself and my kids love the game. It's fun and we've manage to unlock most of the critters to play. Money hasn't really been a problem except for the 50-100k monsters but then there aren't that many of them.

The controls are indeed wii controls, what else would you expect? I agree the power up for breath is kinda annoying (play the robot chicken looking monster, he doesn't require it) but otherwise this game makes use of the wii controls and it this is a good thing.

I grew up watching Godzilla so I was looking forward to this. I am glad it made it out during the Christmas holiday so I could spend a lot of time playing with my kids.

I'd like to point out alot of the review points.

1. the glitches. They aren't much. The AZC glitch is bad, but if kiryu can shoot forward all the time, then basiclly, he can take away ur power surges all the time. (if u freeze, ur power surge is gone.) The MG1 glitch isn't much either, because he has a shield that protects him from long range attacks, AND a long range weapon that eliminates health cells. All the other glitches are not a problem, cause they're just graphic glitches.

2. The grab problem. An alternate: Hold the D-Pad and swing the wiimote. It's an alternate to the shake both the nunchuck and the wiimote and end up accidently jumping.

3. The controls in general. Godzilla Unleashed was designed for the wiimote so you can swing the wiimote in one direction and the monster wii do the same. And the swinging then button hitting thing about the controls was to prevent button mashing. The controls are really easy to get a hold of, but it takes a while to fully master it to become the ultimate monster.

4. Unlocking monsters. There's a website that helps you get the requirements of the monsters to unlock.

5. The story mode. The VO isn't that bad. The comics are drawn by pros. And the story is original. It's not like ALIEN MIND CONTROL, like all the others. Most ppl are buying the game for the story mode. btw, the game also has the RPG element in it, so therefore, it means that the story progresses depending on ur actions.

Overall, many of the things that are wrong with the game aren't as bad as you guys think. The controls are (supposedly) easy to handle. The glitches are much. There's a few glitches that affect gameplay (and isn't that bad) and the rest are just graphic glitches. The grabbing problem is easy to fix, and the unlocking monsters isn't that bad. The training mode not doing such a good job, yes thats true, but the instruction manuel covers it, so it ain't that big of a deal. And the story mode is what makes the game so great.

Overall, the game is alot better than u guys think. :)

Damn, that's disappointing. Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee on the Gamecube was a party favorite of mine. It was pretty simple and shallow, but lots of fun with 4 people. It played like a slow, methodical wrestling game, and once you figured out the rhythm, it was good fun. And it seemed like a good starting point for a deeper sequal.

Just as a heads up, you can hold the down arrow and shake the Wii-remote to initiate a grab as well. It's one of the few details of the game not documented in the manual.

Wow. This game seems like a handful. A shame really

It makes me embarrassed to say that the only Godzilla movie I have seen was that American one that looked like Godzilla was a mutated Iguana

I really need to expand my horizons
