Devil May Bundle, Playstation 3 + DMC 4 pack

dmc4ps3.jpgSony has a solution for Devil May Cry fans in Japan who haven’t picked up a new system. On January 31, they are releasing the PlayStation 3 Devil May Cry 4 Premium BD Pack, a bundle with a 40 GB PlayStation 3 (you can choose a Ceramic White or Clear Black console), Devil May Cry 4 and a 60 minute Blu-ray disc with video content. The package costs 47,800 yen ($422), which isn’t much of a price cut compared to buying the game and the console separately. While this isn’t exactly a deal, a Devil May Cry 4 bundle is likely to help Sony get the PlayStation 3 into more homes and slightly tilt the Dante’s multiplatform debut in Sony’s favor.

Is this coming to USA as well? I’d like to pick this baby up at Singapore airport late February. >

  • @squall3 – It’s announced for Japan only at this time.

    Yup i know that.
    I can only hope. Lol

If this was bundled with ALL the DMC games, then Sony would move units.
Microsoft’s 5 free HD-DVD promotion was similar and it helped their sales….of course Halo 3 didn’t hurt either.

Scrap Spiderman 3 – add the DMC games, and now we’re taking holiday sales.

@evilrio: But the catch is this 40Gb console isn’t backward compatible right?

what is up with NA never getting colored consoles!?!? so lame.

    you’ve got me there.
Unless I play the older games on my (non-existent PSP) through the wireless connection.
Since PSOne games can now be played that way, Sony might save some face through making it possible to play your PS2 games on the PSP thorugh the same route. Of course, I’m sure there are some firmware complications that would need to be hammered out…

…yeah, that’s too complicated. Back to TF2 on my PC.

Sounds a great deal more appealing than the whole Spiderman spiel. Let’s hope that when the time comes, Sony U.S.A. does the same. I’d buy a PS3 in half a heartbeat.
