Solid as steel, Metal Slug inspired, 07 Commando: Steel Disaster

07 Commando: Steel Disaster slipped entirely out of my radar because this Nintendo DS game is being developed by Mana Computer Software in China and published in Europe by Lexicon Entertainment. I’m glad I caught it though!

The gameplay appears to be a throwback to run and gun games like Contra and Metal Slug. You don’t have to worry much about puzzles since the focus is on blowing everything up on a 2D plane. Too bad 07 Commando: Steel Disaster is only heading to Europe until a US publisher picks the project up. Perhaps, Majesco could be one of their partners?

Wow. I don't know if "inspired" is the right word...perhaps "plagiarism?" Either way, I hope that's not the actual music from the game. It sounds like a perpetual mallpunk tune that never reaches its first verse.

Im curious about this game and both optimistic,

However whats sad with games coming out of nowhere, is currently
Project Exile, which is out pretty soon and not many people knows about it,
Even at Neogaf people ignored it when it said the release date for the game

Would be nice to see Siliconera covering it up when there is more info out..
