A day after my first Baroque piece went live I get an e-mail from Atlus that Baroque won’t be arriving until March 18. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised because Sting announced Baroque for Wii wasn’t coming out until March 13 in Japan. Previously, it looked like North America would get the widescreen Wii-make first.
Details are still unclear about how Baroque for Wii will incorporate motion control. Atlus mentions “subtle” integration for power attacks. You hold down a button do a power strike on the PS2 version. Maybe a shake will be used instead. There are also “intuitive controls”, which makes me imagine sword slashes, pointing the Wii remote to shoot the Angelic rifle and perhaps a chucking grenade motion to toss bones.
@Nick Doerr - It’s for both. Atlus plans on releasing the PS2 version and the Wii version simultaneously.
Eh, not too bad. Jan - Feb - March are a BUSY three months; I don’t mind the delay as I’ve got my plate full anyway.
Yeah, I got that e-mail yesterday, was kinda bummed out when I was writing up an article for it, I was planning on No More Heroes this month, Baroque next month, and Brawl in March. Ah well.
uh oh, they should stay away from the Smash Bros release date, just my two cents.
Any word if Altus would include an artbook like they did w/ Persona 3? Don’t know about PS2, but the Jpn Wii version seems to have an artbook for pre-order bonus.
Speaking of delays, both Away Shuffle Dungeon and Blue Dragon DS have been pushed to summer as well, I was especially looking forward to the former, I suppose if they need more time to ensure the quality it’s for the best.
Man, Baroque looks sooooooo amazing!! I can’t wait! They really need more RPG style games like this nowadays.
Baroque delayed is not the a news that will keep me tight …

So is this delay just for the Wii version or for the PS2 version as well? I’m just too lazy to do any further research =P
