If you're a regular Xbox Live user than you've no doubt been bothered by the recent issues they've been having. And while some idiots decided a class action lawsuit was the way to go, the rest of us understood and have just been making due. Honestly, it sucks but it's not exactly the end of the world.
Anyway, Microsoft sent out a press release a few weeks back saying they'd be giving away a free XBLA game to compensate it's customers that have been having problems. Well today the announcement came down that the game in question is Undertow, and will be available free next Wednesday (the 23th) through Sunday.
No word on what you get if you've already bought Undertow, but my guess would be nothing. Previously Microsoft gave away Carcassone for free and if you had already bought it (like me) then you were pretty much out of luck.
Luckily I can take advantage this time 'round since I never bought Undertow. Is it any good?
< Spencer's Note: Yeah! Louise seemed to enjoy it.>
Wow, I don’t think too many people find Undertow appealing.
It probably boils down to cost. 17 million times 5 is 85 million bucks.
It has some appeal, but not a lot, it’s had plenty of time to sell already, and most who have it probably won’t go through the hassle of getting something else.
Well, they saved 5 bucks here, cause I played the demo, and I’m over that game.
Worst (and only) Micro$oft Freebie EVAR.
What? Next Wednesday isn’t the 30th. It’s the 23rd. Do you mean the Wednesday after next?

According to a comment on the Gamerscore blog by the author of the post, if you already bought Undertow you should call support and they have something worked up.
I’m all for it, the game looked great but I couldn’t justify spending $10 on it.
