ps31.jpgAfter news about the partially backward compatible 80GB PlayStation 3 kicking the bucket, Opposable Thumbs gets a tip that it will be replaced by a 120-160GB PlayStation 3 with a Dual Shock 3 controller. Ben and his retail mole accurately leaked information on the Xbox 360 holiday bundle and the 40GB PlayStation 3, which puts some gravity on the rumor. While this is speculative, a Dual Shock PlayStation 3 package isn’t hard to imagine. During the PlayStation One’s life cycle Sony originally sold consoles with a basic controller only later to release a revised PsOne pack with a Dual Shock controller. The question remains if the new model, or any future PlayStation 3 models, will continue to be backwards compatible or if that feature will be reserved for early adopters.
