sose.jpgSquare Enix plans to release the second Star Ocean remake on April 2 in Japan. Like Star Ocean: First Departure, Production I.G. created animated movies to spruce up the game’s presentation. Redrawn characters, event face graphics (portraits during dialogue) and new private events are the other announced features.

Star Ocean: Second Evolution also has a pre-order bonus, a promotional DVD with footage from Star Ocean 4.

Frank Caron Says:

I would kill for a localization of this.

I’m a little disappointed with the animation. Rena is supposed to be 17, here she looks 10. I’m also not sure how I would feel with new voices, should it get localized. While the original was pretty bad, “What, behind me?” still makes me giggle. I guess I’m too much of a fan of the original, though I would certainly give it a try.

I wish they would make an add-on for the ps3 like the Game Boy Player.
