Digging for dinosaurs in Bokura wa Kaseki Holder

dino.jpgRed Entertainment, best known for the Sakura Taisen games, is also developing a game with fire breathing dinosaurs. Bokura wa Kaseki Holder (We are Fossil Holders) is a Nintendo DS game where stylus-equipped archaeologists excavate fossils by tapping away on the touch screen. This portion of the game vaguely reminds me of Spectrobes, without the Disney owned aliens.

Once players unearth multiple fossil pieces they can reconstruct a dinosaur and enslave it as part of a three reptile fighting team. Compared to the other DS dinosaur battling games (Fossil League and Sega’s Dinosaur King come to mind) Bokura wa Kaseki Holder doesn’t look half bad. It might even be worth checking out when it arrives in Japan on April 17.

JC Fletcher Says:

“Holder,” huh? It was killing me trying to figure out what “horidaa” could possibly be.

Spencer Says:

@JC Fletcher - Complete candor: the other thought in my mind was “holiday”.
