Namco Bandai reminds us about two “Tales”

By QBasic . February 27, 2008 . 8:02pm

Namco Bandai announced the 10th Anniversary of the Tales franchise in North America confirming the release of Tales of Vesperia for the Xbox 360, and Tales of Symponia: Dawn of the New World for the Nintendo Wii. Both titles are confirmed to be released in North America and Japan later this year. That's fast localization time for the series. This news alone, should make Wii and Xbox 360 owners very happy. PlayStation 3 owners may be smiling in the future too. Namco Bandai has not said which console gets Tales of Vesperia in Japan. This led to speculation and hopes for a later Playstation 3 release, but nothing is concrete yet. Lets cross our fingers on it!

I want to see Tales of Rebirth and Tales of Destiny: Director’s Cut in the U.S.! Oh and of course Tales of Innocense

The Wii version is a must buy. Thanks Namco.

Pedro Silva Says:

@ jeffx the Wii version is a recycled assets game, who is using a weekend team and failed to improve the graphics significantly (even for Wii Standards), when stuff like detailed shadows, better textures, animated mouths and the like are out.

Vesperia would be feasible on the Wii too, it also has bad textures for HD standards and it’s cel shading is Wind Waker-esque, if anything… we’re market leaders so that’s the one we should be getting.

PS3 Vesperia I can understand, but trying to hype a X360 version of it? Namco you’re delusional (and moneyhatted)
