No smash, Super Turrican is the lone virtual console soldier

Nintendo has yet to send out a press release for this week's virtual console games, which led to minor speculation that Super Smash Brothers will be on the list. After all, Super Mario Brothers 3 was the prelude for Super Mario Galaxy and Super Metroid was the precursor for Metriod Prime 3: Corruption. Unfortunately for  frothing Smash Brothers fans this isn't the case. The only virtual console game this week is Super Turrican, a Super Nintendo title developed by Factor 5. Pre-Lair Factor 5.
