Fading Shadows rolls onto PSPs in May

While were on the subject of quirky puzzle games it’s a good time to mention Fading Shadows. Chris over at Cosmos Gaming (thanks for doing a better job watching Agetec than me!) discovered they picked up the rights to publish Fading Shadows in North America. I mentioned this game before when it was only confirmed for Europe mainly because of its similarity to Super Monkey Ball and other roll-a-ball-through-a-maze-games. The difference between this and say Marble Madness are magical abilities that allow players to alter the substance of the rolling orb.

I tend to enjoy these games quite a bit and the PSP really doesn’t have enough of them. However, I find it strange that a story is considered a feature for Fading Shadows. An epic tale for a sphere traveling across the swamp is largely unnecessary. Creative puzzles, good set of physics and possibly a lighthearted tone are enough for Fading Shadows or any other marble rolling game.
