Are you surprised Aksys is acting as the publisher for Guilty Gear 2? Like Arc System Works, Guilty Gear 2 Overture will be the studio’s first Xbox 360 game, but we won’t see this 360 exclusive for quite sometime. Aksys plans to release the tactical fighting game in the third quarter of this year.

The good news is Aksys’ version has extras not found in the original. The North American release contains Japanese voiceovers on top of a fully voiced English dialogue. Beyond the additional language track Aksys mentions Guilty Gear 2 Overture will include “new items, skills, tweaks, and additional modes not seen in the original import!” No details have been announced, but new content is always a welcome addition.

“in the quarter of this year” I’m guessing third or fourth considering your article.

I enjoyed the demo if it was a bit bland, but I will still totally pick this up.
