Phoenix manga rises to the DS in June

Manga on the DS? Compile Heart has been working on it starting with an adaptation of Phoenix from Astro Boy creator, Osamu Tezuka. Japan gets a chance to read stories about eternal life on June 19^rd, a month later than the initial May 2008 target.

We still haven’t seen a video demo of Compile Heart’s project, but the promotional art looks gorgeous. Remember the picture below is not a representation of what we’re going to see in DS de Yomo Series: Hi no Tori, but if Compile Heart manages to create something half as good I'll be impressed.
